Got a Passion for Network Engineering?

Pravala builds mobile networking software that improves the experience of dealing with Internet connections, especially mobile connections. Our technology is used on smartphones, where we configure the phone for optimum network performance, avoid low quality networks, reduce battery consumption, and deliver connectivity-related information to users. We even use multiple connections at once for faster performance – or to allow VoIP calls (and other data) to seamlessly transfer between Wi-Fi and 3G. We also deploy our technology to edge routers, where we automatically transfer traffic to a backup connection without interrupting active flows if the primary link fails. Our products also include a web-based monitoring and policy system that allows our carrier and enterprise customers to remotely manage the devices attached to their networks, view site connectivity, and perform remote updates.

Pravala has an incredible team of developers and business people, and has a history of accomplishing our goals. We’re big on making decisions as a team, from the problems we tackle and what funding we accept all the way to where we go for ‘Don’t Bring A Lunch’ Thursdays. Pravala firmly believes that our people can do amazing things if given the right tools, so everyone gets a development machine customized to their needs, your choice of a sitting or standing desk, and unrestricted access to our fully-stocked fridge – plus access to the latest smartphones and tablets.

Improving as a team is a big part of who we are. Every line of code we check in is reviewed by another member of the team, providing a great learning opportunity for everyone – including our more senior staff, who are anxious to learn from you. You’ll be given the authority to try things out and experiment when developing – we want to ship the best product, period.

Our technology stack currently includes C/C++ (on Linux and Android), Java (Android and BlackBerry), Objective-C (iOS), Bash, and Javascript (client and server side).
