Security of the data transferred from the car to the cloud is a critical concern, especially as more safety-critical systems are connected. Utilizing industry-standard encryption and security solutions, the CVG platform is able to provide end-to-end security between the vehicle and the cloud. All data communication between the car to the cloud is protected with industry standard encryption technology. Additionally, the CVG cloud provides remote vehicle security monitoring, identifying and alerting administrators of any abnormal activity and fixing it in real-time.
How it Works
The CVG platform uses industry-standard encryption technologies, such as Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Datagram TLS (D-TLS) with 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES256) to secure all of the data that is sent between the car and the cloud. The system enforces mutual authentication of X.509 certificates – to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks, certificate pinning is used to prevent rogue endpoints from capturing traffic.
